Levy County, FL – A three-vehicle crash taking place Thursday morning in Levy County left three people severely injured and one person dead.
The identity of the deceased was not released because the family had not been notified yet.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the injured victims were driver 73-year old Janice Williamson O’Neill, driver 18-year old Rafael Avalos, and his passenger 29-year old Adolfo Avalos. They were all taken to UF Health Shands Hospital.
The crash involved two pickup trucks, one driven by the deceased man, and another by Rafael Avalos. O’Neill was driving a 2014 Infiniti QX70.
Troopers stated that the accident occurred on County Road 346A (Northwest 160 Street) at Northwest 10th Avenue at around 8:57 a.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
The deceased man was found not wearing a seatbelt but the other three injured people were.
