39-Year-Old U.S.P.S. Employee Critically Injured in Parrish Collision with SUV on CR 675
Parrish, Florida (December 20, 2017) – A 39-year-old U.S. Postal Service employee was on Tuesday afternoon seriously hurt in a two-vehicle crash on County Road 675 in Parrish, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at around 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, at the intersection of County Road 675 and U.S. 301.
Troopers said the female mail carrier was traveling west on CR 675 when she made a stop on a light at the intersection of U.S. 301. She then drove her vehicle into the path of a 2014 Chevy Suburban, which crashed into the left side of the mail carrier’s vehicle.
The mail carrier was rushed to Blake Medical Center in critical condition.
The driver of the Suburban, a 31-year-old, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Lakewood Ranch Medical.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash is under investigation and charges are pending.
