Sanford, FL – A plane crash taking place Saturday afternoon at Sanford International Airport leaves one person dead. The incident is currently being investigated by Seminole County fire officials.
The experimental plane crash-landed on the runway and caught fire, stated fire officials.
Seminole fire officials mentioned that one person was killed in the accident.
“A Piper PA12 aircraft veered off the runway and burst into flames as it was departing Orlando Sanford International Aircraft at about 1 pm today. Check with local authorities on the condition of the pilot, the only person on board. The FAA will investigate,” stated the Federal Aviation Administration.
