Deputies have reported that a person is dead after his aircraft crashes in Eustis last Sunday morning.
The Federal Aviation Administration reports that an unnamed man was piloting the XT-912 Tundra Arrow Ultralight aircraft when it crashed at around 8 a.m. Sunday morning in the airstrip of Mid Florida Air Service Airport.
One witness told authorities that the pilot was flying south before approaching the airport and believe to have seen the aircraft go passed the trees at the airport when he heard a loud crash.
The witness ran to the area and saw the aircraft lying on top of the pilot.
Authorities said that no one else was on board besides the pilot and a name has not been released awaiting the next of kin.
