Pedestrian Killed in Vehicle Accident on U.S Highway 92
Seffner, FL – According to the Florida Highway Patrol, one person has died from a pedestrian-vehicle crash currently being investigated by officials.
The incident took place on U.S Highway 92 near Parsons Avenue intersection.
Per the news release, the driver of a 2012 Honda CRV, Welsh-Jacques, was driving east on U.S Highway 92 near Parsons Avenue intersection at around 7 a.m. Thursday.
At that same moment, a 68-year old man, whose identity has not been released pending notification to next of kin, was crossing U.S 92 going North in a dark portion of the road when he walked into the path of the upcoming Honda.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol did not play a role in the crash.
The driver and 16-year old passenger of the Honda were both wearing seat belts and did not sustain any injuries.
An investigation remains active.
