Police Patrol Car Hits and Kills Civilian at East Fifth Avenue and Hialeah Drive
Hialeah, Florida (January 4, 2018) – One person was killed in a crash involving a police patrol car in Hialeah Tuesday night, according to police.
The crash occurred at about 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, at the East Fifth Avenue and Hialeah Drive.
According to the police report, the man who died in the crash was identified as Orestes Amador Jr., 51, and the two corps involved in the crash were identified as Ernesto Del Valle and Daniel Garcia-Muniz.
As per the report, two officers were driving a patrol car that smashed into Amador’s Volkswagen Passat. The officers were in stable condition and were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Amador Junior, the only occupant of the Passat, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further information regarding the crash was released as the crash remained under investigation.
