Man Killed in Orange County Auto-Pedestrian Accident on Colonial Drive near Alafaya Trail
Orange County, Florida (December 6, 2017) – The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a 61-year-old Orlando man lost his life after being struck by a car Tuesday night in Orange County.
The fatal crash took place at an unspecified time on Tuesday, December 5 on Colonial Drive near Alafaya Trail.
Troopers said a male pedestrian was walking in the center lane on Colonial Drive while 18-year-old Benjamin Chong, of Palm Harbor, was driving an eastbound vehicle. Chong then struck and killed the man.
The man had not yet been identified by the authorities.
The deadly incident is under an investigation by the FHP.
