Pedestrian Killed in Apopka Hit-and-Run Accident on U.S. Highway 441
Apopka, Florida (February 4, 2018) – A 31-year-old woman was killed in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Saturday morning in Apopka, according to Apopka Police Department.
The pedestrian was struck at around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, February 3, at the intersection of U.S. Highway 441 and Hiawassee Road.
The circumstances leading up to the accident were unclear.
Police said the victim, Nikita Pope, was rushed to Florida Hospital Apopka, where she was later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the vehicle that struck Pope failed to stop at the scene.
Apopka Police are conducting an investigation into the accident.

It is difficult having to face the fact that a loved one is no longer there, but even more troublesome is coming to learn that they were brutally killed by the hands of malicious individuals.
