Pedestrian Killed in Walton County Crash with Vehicle on U.S. 331
Walton County, Florida (December 30, 2017) – A 43-year-old Niceville man was killed in a Friday night pedestrian accident on U.S. 331 in Walton County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 8:40 p.m. Friday, December 29 on U.S. 331, just north of Carol Drive.
Troopers said the man was walking along the outside lane of southbound U.S. 331 when he was rear-ended by a 2013 BMW X5 driven by 60-year-old Robert Thomas of Mountain Brook, Alabama.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by the Walton Fire Rescue.
Details on the identity of the victim were not released pending notification of the next of kin.
The crash is under investigation.
