Deputy Natalie Williams Injured in Tarpon Springs Two-Vehicle Crash
Tarpon Springs, Florida (January 18, 2018) – According to investigators, a deputy was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Tarpon Springs, Thursday morning.
The crash took place at around 9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 18, at Pinellas Avenue and East Curlew Place.
According to the investigators, 48-year-old Deputy Natalie Williams of Pinellas Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team was driving her marked Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe responding to an emergency call.
William was traveling on Pinellas Avenue and tried to pass several cars at the intersection.
An El Cajon Woman, Treasure Lee Love, 72, was driving her 2014 Honda Civic southbound on Pinellas Avenue in front of William when she tried to turn eastbound onto East Curlew at the same time when Williams was preparing to pass, and the two vehicles crashed, Investigators said.
Williams was taken to an area hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries.
Speed or impairment was not believed to be factors.
The crash remains under investigation.
