A woman from Zephyrhills, FL is killed after rear-ending a car while traveling on her motorcycle at around 8:30 P.M. Sunday night on State Road 54.

Florida Highway Patrol officials identified two people that were on the motorcycle when the crash took place on State Road 54. The motorcycle driver who was identified as 57-year-old Mark E. Loveitt and passenger 45-year-old Karen E. King was involved in the crash.
Reports state that a 17-year-old driving a 1999 Honda Civic by Samantha Marie Sweet was stopped because of traffic. But Loveitt neglected to stop and end up hitting the back of the Honda Civic.
The force of the impact caused Loveitt and King to eject from the motorcycle.
The crashed happened when they were both heading on the westbound lanes of State Road 54 which is just east of Morris Bridge Road
King was pronounced dead at the scene while Loveitt was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital suffering from serious injuries.
Florida Highway Patrol says that they were both wearing helmets and are not aware currently if they were driving under the influence.
The other people in the Honda were not injured.
