Martin County, FL – According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a head-on crash has left one person dead in Martin County.
The accident took place early Wednesday morning around 5:27 a.m. on Southwest Citrus Boulevard and Southwest 96th Street.
FHP mentions that a Hyundai Elantra was heading southbound on SW Citrus Blvd and tried to make a left turn onto SW 96th Street when a motorcycle did not stop at the stop sign as they were heading westbound on SW 96th Street.
The impact caused the rider to be thrown off of their bike and onto the intersection.
The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identities of those involved have not been released pending notification of the family.
The crash remains under investigation.
