Interstate 95 Multiple Vehicle Collision Involves Minor Injuries
St. Johns County, FL (October 4, 2017) – A total of six vehicles were involved in a collision Wednesday morning, wherein at least one vehicle caught fire.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported the incident to have occurred before 9 a.m. on October 4 on Interstate 95 at County Road 210.
The report showed that a semi-truck caught fire from the six-vehicle wreck. Two people reportedly sustained minor injuries from the crash.
The wreck also caused traffic to be backed up to State Road 16.
The fire was quickly contained by the St. Johns County Fire department. Officials from the Florida Department of Transportation and the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office reported that diesel spilled on the road.
An investigation is ongoing.
