Lehigh Acres Woman Migdalia Johnson Dies in 2-Vehicle Crash on SR 29 in Glades County
Glades County, Florida (December 30, 2017) – A Lehigh Acres woman was on Thursday afternoon killed in a fiery two-vehicle crash on State Road 29 in Glades County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at around 1:56 p.m. on Thursday, December 28 on State Road 29 north of Chaparral Avenue.
Troopers said Jose Silva Sepulveda, 81, of Lehigh Acres was driving a 2006 Chrysler T&C minivan northbound on SR 29 when he made an improper U-turn and entered into the path of a 1990 Freightliner semi, driven southbound on SR 29 by Iburi Guerrero of Lehigh Acres.
The semi crashed into the right side of Sepulveda’s minivan.
A passenger in Sepulveda’s passenger, Migdalia Johnson, 72, of Lehigh Acres, sustained major injuries in the crash and was later pronounced dead.
Sepulveda sustained minor injuries.
Guerrero was unhurt in the crash.
Troopers said charges are pending.
