Two-Vehicle Crash on County Road 316 Kills Michael Bagley
Marion County, FL (October 16, 2017) – One man died after a Monday afternoon collision.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the incident took place around 1:35 p.m. October 16 on County Road 316.
The report showed that 54-year-old Michael Bagley, of Citra, drove his Chevrolet Impala westbound on the road. Bagley yielded to a stop sign at the intersection of U.S. 411. At that time, a southbound Dodge Journey driven by a 47-year-old man from Largo approached the intersection. Bagley drove directly into the path of the SUV.
The collision caused the Journey to hit the right side of the Impala in the southbound outside lane. The Impala landed on the grassy shoulder of the intersection. It also caused the SUV to overturn once and stop on the same shoulder where the sedan was.
The driver of the SUV was uninjured.
We extend our condolences to the family and friends of the victim in the collision.
