HIV and Hepatitis Exposure
Anyone undergoing a surgery could have been vulnerable to HIV, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C while being operated on. There was a surgical technician who was found fiddling with syringes in an operating room stated by CNN. This surgical technician worked in many hospitals around the country. Investigations found that the surgical technician switched out the syringes that contained painkillers. This unlawful, unethical action put patients at risk.
Notices were sent out to about 5,000 patients who had surgery in the areas where the surgical technician worked.
A great sum of compensation can be awarded to those who contract any of these viruses through a surgery. Medical malpractice attorneys at Percy Martinez law firm can assist those suffering from this harm.
