Riverview, FL (February 23, 2018) – A woman left dead on Friday when her car crashed into another vehicle on Friday afternoon.
Florida Highway Patrol stated that the 38-year-old woman named Melanie Hoitt was heading north of U.S. 301 in her Nissan Altima when the crash happened. Hoitt was turning left near Southern Pointe Boulevard when she got into the path of Isabel Saenz, 18, who was driving her Dodge Charger heading south.
Saenz’ car hit the passenger side of Hoitt’s car which overturned her vehicle. Hoitt was rushed to Tampa General Hospital and reportedly died from the injuries during the crash.
FHP says that she was not wearing her seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor in the car crash.
