Mehdi Firouzadj Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-10 in Baldwin
Baldwin, Florida (February 2, 2018) – An Ormond Beach man was killed on Friday morning when he crashed into a parked tow truck along a road in Baldwin, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Mehdi Firouzadj died in the incident that took place along Interstate 10.
Troopers said Firouzadj was heading east on I-10 when he slammed into a tow-truck that was stopped along the median and had its emergency lights on.
The impact of the crash ejected Firouzadj from his vehicle and threw him onto the roadway.
Three other vehicles traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 struck the 63-year-old man.
Firouzadj was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
FHP said charges are pending an investigation.
