Madison Man Max Bailey Hit and Killed in Auto-Pedestrian Crash in Gilchrist County
Gilchrist County, Florida (January 2, 2017) – One man was hit and killed by a vehicle in a crash in Gilchrist County Tuesday early morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash took place at about 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, on a busy road.
According to neighbors, the road in which the victim was hit and killed on is known to be a busy road for traffic although not many people who walk up and down the road.
Bailey was pronounced dead at the scene.
The FHP has called “Flare,” a special investigative team that is mandated to investigate high profile crashes. This is because the crash involved Sheriff’s office vehicle.
The team Flare will investigate in conjunction with the personnel who were on scene.
No further information about the crash was provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
