Mauricio Rosa Injured in Pedestrian Crash in Tampa
Tampa, Florida (November 15, 2017) – A man and his service dog were struck by a driver who failed to stop after the incident Tuesday night in Tampa, according to a police report.
Mauricio Rosa was walking his dog along Ola Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. when the accident occurred, as per the report.
According to the report, a vehicle cut through from Hillsborough Avenue onto Ola Avenue and struck the Rosa.
The impact threw Rosa onto the windshield of the vehicle.
He suffered a broken tibia and was hospitalized at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
The dog appeared ok after the incident.
Meanwhile, the involved driver fled the scene. The vehicle responsible for the crash appeared to be a Mazda four-door sedan with three occupants, according to the report.
