Bicycle-Motorcycle Crash on Lock Street Seriously Injures Matthew W. Ashmore and 2 Others
Pasco County, FL (October 25, 2017) – A collision between a motorcycle and a bicycle sent a total of three people to the hospital with serious injuries Tuesday evening.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported the crash to have occurred around 10 p.m. October 24 on Lock Street, near Julian Street.
The report showed that 57-year-old Archee B. Taylor, of Dade City, was riding his bicycle eastbound on the westbound lane. Taylor steered his bike in front of an eastbound 2002 Suzuki ridden by 33-year-old Matthew W. Ashmore, of Wesley Chapel, and 24-year-old Leslie Groover, of New Port Richey.
As a result of the crash, all three were listed in serious condition. Ashmore had to be transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center via helicopter. Taylor was also airlifted to St. Joseph’s Hospital. Meanwhile, Groover was brought to Lakeland Regional via ambulance.
The collision is still being investigated.
