Passenger Seriously Hurt in Marion County Two-Car Crash on I-75 at Mile Marker 356
Marion County, Florida (November 20, 2017) – According to the Florida Highway Patrol, one person suffered serious injuries after being involved in a two-vehicle collision Sunday afternoon in Marion County.
The major injury crash took place at approximately 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 19 on Interstate 75 at the mile marker 356.
Troopers stated that a white Chevrolet pickup truck collided with a black Land Rover sports utility vehicle, causing the truck to leave the road come to rest on top of a guardrail on the southbound inside shoulder.
The passenger in the truck suffered serious injuries while the driver sustained minor injuries. They were shuttled to Ocala Regional Hospital for treatment.
The passenger in the SUV also sustained minor wounds in the incident.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
