Normandy Boulevard Pedestrian Crash Kills Man and Hurts Woman in Jacksonville
Jacksonville, Florida (January 28, 2018) – A man was killed and a woman hospitalized following an auto-pedestrian accident involving a semi-truck on Saturday evening in Jacksonville, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened on Normandy Boulevard near the intersection of Blair Road on Saturday, January 27.
FHP said the two were walking in the eastbound lanes of Normandy Boulevard when the man was struck by a semi-truck.
The woman was hit by the debris from the crash.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman was taken to Orange Park West Hospital and was said to be in stable condition.
The victims’ identities were not released as they are pending notification of the next of kin.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
