45-Year-Old Man Fatally Injured in Jacksonville Collision on Moncrief Road
Jacksonville, Florida (February 6, 2018) – A man was killed in a head-on collision that left a woman hospitalized on Tuesday morning in Jacksonville, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The two-vehicle wreck occurred at around 10:15 a.m. on Moncrief Road near Golfair Boulevard.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a Chrysler Sebring traveling east on Moncrief Road swerved into the westbound side and collided with a Dodge Magnum.
The driver of the car, a 45-year-old man, was rushed to UF Health Jacksonville, where he was pronounced dead.
The other driver, a 35-year-old woman, was treated for minor injuries at UF Health.
The crash caused a closure of Moncrief Road for approximately three hours as investigators examined and cleared the scene.

It is difficult having to face the fact that a loved one is no longer there, but even more troublesome is coming to learn that they were brutally killed by the hands of malicious individuals.
