Apopka, FL – A 70-year old man killed following a collision Monday afternoon at around 3:35 p.m. as he tried to cross Semoran Boulevard in his mobility scooter.
The man’s identity has not been released yet. The Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Steven Montiero said that the man was in a crosswalk.
Montiero said that the man was crossing Semoran Boulevard at Sheeler Avenue at the time of the accident.
The driver of a Jeep, 50-year old Daniel Novoa, was traveling south on Sheeler Avenue, attempting to take a left turn onto Semoran Boulevard.
The man died of his injuries at Florida Hospital.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
