Pompano Beach Man Luke Carmical Killed in Pedestrian Crash on West Atlantic Boulevard
Pompano Beach, Florida (December 27, 2017) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver Sunday night in Pompano Beach, according to Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
Luke Carmical, 31, of Pompano Beach, was killed in the crash that occurred at around 10:15 p.m. Sunday, December 24, in the 2500 block of West Atlantic Boulevard.
Deputies said Carmical was attempting to cross the street when he was struck by a car traveling east on West Atlantic Boulevard.
Carmical was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
Meanwhile, the driver of the involved vehicle did not stop after the crash.
Police are investigating the crash.
