FHP Identify Lloyd McSheehy and Kathleen McSheehy US 17 Head-On Crash near Satsuma

Putnam County, Florida (November 24, 2017) – Two people were killed, and one was seriously injured after two vehicles collided head-on Thursday afternoon in Putnam County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The two victims killed were identified by the FHP as 78-year-old Llyod McSheehy and 72-year-old Kathleen McSheehy, both of Anna, Texas. The 13-year-old boy from Jacksonville who sustained serious injuries in the crash was also identified as Casey Jones.
The fatal collision transpired at around 4:20 p.m. Thursday, November 23 on US 17 near Satsuma.
Troopers stated that the McSheehys were traveling south near County Road 309B. Their Chrysler Pacifica suddenly veered into the opposite lane and struck a Ford Expedition head-on.
The two were killed in the crash while the Ford driver, William McManus, 52, of Clermont, and a passenger Kimberly Tullis, 46, of Jacksonville sustained minor wounds. Jones, who was also a passenger in the Ford, was seriously injured.
The FHP stated that the McSheehys were not wearing seat belts at the time of the incident.
