Lisa Hagin Critically Injured in Jacksonville Pedestrian Accident on US Hwy 1
Jacksonville, Florida (December 15, 2017) – According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Jacksonville woman was struck and critically injured by an unmarked police truck Wednesday night in Jacksonville, Nassau County.
The female pedestrian was identified by the FHP as 53-year-old Lisa Hagin.
The accident happened at about 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, December 13 on US Highway 1.
Troopers said that Hagin was standing in the inside travel lane of U.S. 1 at Ratliff Road. The first vehicle swerved to avoid hitting her before a police pickup truck being driven by Michael King, 39, of Folkston, struck her. King was allegedly not able to see the woman because it was dark outside and her clothes were also dark.
Hagin suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to UF Health in critical condition.
Alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
