17-Year-Old Lewis Helmick Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Story Partin Road in Orange County
Orange County, Florida (December 17, 2017) – A 17-year-old boy was struck and killed by a vehicle late Saturday night in Orange County, FHP said.
The accident took place at around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, on Story Partin Road, near East Colonial Drive.
Troopers said Lewis Helmick, 17, was, for unknown reasons, laying in the southbound lanes of Story Partin Road when he was struck by a 1997 Chevrolet van.
He was rushed to Florida Hospital East, where he was pronounced deceased.
Troopers are conducting an investigation into the crash and charges may be pending.
