Larry Ellis and Clayton Shaffer Dies in Escambia County Crash on State Road 184
Escambia County, Florida (November 5, 2017) – Two drivers died in a two-vehicle collision that took place early Sunday morning in Escambia County, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
The two drivers have been identified as 63-year-old Larry Ellis of Milton and 31-year-old Clayton Shaffer of Pace.
The accident occurred at 2:45 a.m. Sunday, November 5 on westbound State Road 184, also known as Quintette Road.
According to FHP, Shaffer’s vehicle was traveling westbound when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a car heading eastbound driven by Ellis.
Ellis and Shaffer died at the scene.
FHP said that Shaffer was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
