Kristin Gumbel Gibson Sustains Injuries in 2-Car Collision on Northwest 39th Avenue in Gainesville
Gainesville, Florida (February 12, 2018) – A 65-year-old Gainesville woman was seriously injured Monday morning when the vehicle she was driving was rear-ended by another vehicle in Gainesville, according to a local news source.
The victim has been identified as Kristin Gumbel Gibson.
The collision took place at about 8:19 a.m. Monday, February 12 on Northwest 39th Avenue near Interstate 75.
As per the article, the Florida Highway Patrol reported that Gibson was driving a Hyundai Sonata east on 39th Avenue near Northwest 91st Street. At the same time, 65-year-old Jerry Lee Strange, of Newberry, was driving a Buick too closely behind her Vehicle.
The Hyundai slowed for traffic ahead, and the Buick hit it from behind.
Gibson was transported to North Florida Regional Medical Center in serious condition.
An investigation is underway.
