Three-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 75 Seriously Injures Keith Hall
McIntosh, FL (October 18, 2017) – A three-vehicle collision early morning Wednesday, October 18 has sent one person to the hospital in serious condition.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a collision on the southbound lane of Interstate 75. The report showed that a semi-truck driver did not see that other vehicles had started to slow down when a two-door vehicle slowed to move to the inside shoulder of the road.
Upon arriving at County Road 318 overpass, the front right portion of the truck struck the left rear of a trailer being towed by the other vehicle. This caused the semi-truck to hit the guardrail, where it stopped.
The driver of a 2000 Dodge passed through the roadway debris and called for emergency assistance.
When first responders arrived, they found the driver of the semi-truck, 50-year-old Keith Hall, of Auburndale, seriously injured in the crash. He was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center.
The two other drivers, 60-year-old Keith Collins, of Sanford, and 84-year-old Ray Hail, of New Castle, Indiana, were uninjured.
The collision backed up southbound traffic on the road.
