Katie Colvin and John White Hospitalized after their Vehicles Crashed in Pensacola
Escambia County, Florida (November 7, 2017) – Two Alabama residents were seriously injured early Tuesday morning after their vehicles were involved in a two-vehicle crash in Pensacola.
According to Florida Highway Patrol release, the collision occurred at about 2 a.m. on Michigan Avenue near Shore Drive.
Troopers said the driver of a Dodge truck, 31-year-old Katie Colvin of Loxley, was traveling east on Michigan Avenue when she crossed the yellow line and collided head-on with a Volkswagen Jetta, driven by 19-year-old John White of Gulf Shores westbound on Michigan Avenue.
Colvin’s vehicle rolled over due to the high impact of the collision but eventually stood on its wheels.
They both drivers sustained serious injuries and were taken to sacred heart hospital. White’s condition was reported to be critical.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
