Julie Lynn Hanselman and Carman Christine Howe Killed in Head-On Crash
Lecanto, FL – According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a head-on crash on State Road 44 has left two individuals dead.
The crash took place Sunday night at around 9:25 p.m. on State Road 44 just east of the intersection with South Leona Avenue in Lecanto.
According to the FHP report, the driver of a 2010 Infiniti RX35, Julie Lynn Hanselman, 48, was driving westbound in the eastbound lane of SR44, where Carman Christine Howe, 47, was driving a 2018 Hyundai Tucson eastbound.
The cars hit head-on and went up in flames.
Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
What contributed to the crash has not been determined.
Investigations continue.
