Wrong Way Collision on Highway 29 Seriously Injures Judy Ruhland
Pensacola, FL (October 18, 2017) – A woman was badly injured when her car crashed into a state trooper vehicle Tuesday night.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported the collision to have occurred on Highway 29 around 9 p.m. October 17.
The report showed that 37-year-old Judy Ruhland drove southbound on the northbound lanes of the road. A state trooper went before Ruhland’s vehicle to warn other drivers of an “impending danger.” Ruhland’s vehicle collided into a construction area and struck the trooper’s vehicle as it was stopped in the median.
Ruhland was transported to West Florida Hospital with serious injuries. Meanwhile, the trooper was brought to Baptist Hospital with minor injuries.
The initial report shows that alcohol was not involved in the crash. However, the narrative says that charges are pending based on Ruhland’s blood test request.
