Lakeland Man Joshua Jackson Killed in North Lakeland Car-Motorcycle Accident on Griffin Road
Lakeland, Florida (December 22, 2017) – A motorcyclist was killed on Wednesday morning after crashing into a car at an intersection on Griffin Road in North Lakeland.
The two-vehicle crash took place at around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20, at the intersection of Griffin Road and Providence Road, according to the Lakeland Police Department.
Police said Joshua Thomas Jackson, 33, of Lakeland, was driving a 2014 Kawasaki Ninja eastbound on Griffin Road and was swerving in and out of traffic when he crashed into a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu that was attempting to turn left onto Providence Road at the intersection.
The crash caused Jackson to be ejected from the motorcycle.
Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Noel Anthony Olmeda Carrasquillo, 27, was not injured.
The road was closed for some hours as the investigators examined the scene.
