Joseph Rygula and Deanna Harcus Seriously Hurt State Rd 77 Two-Vehicle Collision
Bay County, Florida (November 19, 2017) – According to the Florida Highway Patrol, two people from Northwest Florida were seriously injured after their vehicle collided with another Friday afternoon in Bay County.
The two were identified by the FHP as Joseph George Rygula, 77, of Youngstown, and Deanna Lee Harcus, 25, of Callaway.
The collision occurred at around 4:55 p.m. Friday, November 17 on State Road 77 near Crooked Lane.
As per the report log, a 2005 Honda CR-V driven by Rygula entered onto S.R. 77 and got into the path of a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup. The pickup was driven by 31-year-old Douglas Reese Boles, of Panama City. The front of the pickup collided with the right side of the Honda, causing both vehicles to overturn.
Rygula was transported to Bay Medical Sacred Heart while his passenger, Harcus, was shuttled to Gulf Coast Medical Center. Both were listed in serious condition on Saturday morning.
Rygula was charged with failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
The FHP stated that alcohol and/or drugs were not a factor in the incident.
