Jonathan Gomez Killed in Estero Car Collision on U.S. 41 and Broadway Avenue West
Estero, Florida (November 11, 2017) – A 33-year-old motorcyclist lost his life when he was involved in a traffic crash Wednesday night in Estero, a local news source reported.
The victim has been identified as Jonathan Oscar Gomez, of Bonita Springs.
The fatal event took place at about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, November 10 at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Broadway Avenue West.
As per the article, Ian Conway, 56, drove his Hyundai Elantra through a red light on Broadway Avenue West and struck Gomez who was riding on his motorcycle.
Gomez suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, multiple witnesses explained to the investigation crew that Conway drove through the intersection without stopping.
Conway was found to be at fault for the incident and charges are pending.
