Bradenton Man John Woodward Killed and Another Injured in Collision on U.S. 41 in Bradenton
Bradenton, Florida (February 16, 2018) – A motorcyclist was fatally injured, and a driver hurt in a collision Friday morning in Bradenton, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred at around 7 a.m. Friday, February 16, on U.S. 41, near Pearl Avenue.
According to the FHP, 30-year-old John Woodward V, of Bradenton, was riding his Kawasaki EX250 motorcycle southbound on U.S. 41, near Pearl Avenue at a higher rate of speed when he collided with the right side of a Honda Civic that was turning left onto Pearl.
The impact caused the Civic to rotate clockwise while Woodward was ejected from his bike, according to troopers.
Woodward was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver of the Civic suffered minor injuries in the crash, troopers said.
