Pasco County, FL (September 8, 2017) – A senior woman was earlier killed when the car she drove was involved in a head-on collision with a Florida Highway Patrol patrol car Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Little Road and Jasmine Boulevard.
According to the report, the incident occurred around 2:24 p.m. September 7. 35-year-old Trooper Scott Maus, of Brooksville, drove his marked 2016 Dodge Charger patrol car southbound on Little Road as he responded to another traffic crash reported. As he passed through the intersection, he had a green light on his route but did not use the emergency mode in his patrol car.
85-year-old Jessie Joyce Felcoski, of Port Richey, drove her 2002 Kia on the northbound lanes on Little suddenly turned left onto Jasmine Boulevard with a flashing yellow signal. This led the Kia to crash into the patrol car head-on.
First responders took Felcoski to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, where she later died with critical injuries sustained in the crash.
