Cape Coral Woman Jamie Pates Struck and Injured by SUV on Cape Coral Parkway
Cape Coral, Florida (February 8, 2018) – A Cape Coral woman was seriously injured in a pedestrian collision Wednesday night in Cape Coral Parkway, according to Cape Coral Police.
The accident took place at around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, on the 300 block of Cape Coral Parkway W. between Pelican Boulevard and Santa Barbara Boulevard.
The Cape Coral Police reported that 30-year-old Jamie Pates, of Cape Coral, was trying to cross Cape Coral Parkway not in a crosswalk and into the path of an SUV driven east on Cape Coral Parkway.
The SUV reportedly struck Pates.
Police said Pates sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital where she is listed in a stable condition.
No other injuries were reported in the crash.
Alcohol and drugs were a factor in the accident, police said.
