James Blick, Michelle Ozkan and Two Others Seriously Injured in Crash at Clark Road and Honore Avenue
Sarasota, Florida (December 24, 2017) – According to Florida Highway Authority, four people were seriously injured after three vehicles collided in Sarasota, Sunday Evening.
The crash took place on Sunday evening, December 24, at Clark Road and Honore Avenue.
According to FHP, 77-year-old James W. Blick of Delray was driving northbound on Honore Avenue when he failed to stop for a red light. The front right side of 2015 Volvo XC 60 that Blick was driving hit 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe at the front left side, driven by 68-year-old Michelle M. Ozkan, of Sarasota, who was traveling westbound Clark Road.
The impact caused the vehicles to spin. One of them struck a third vehicle, a Toyota Corolla driven by 36-year-old Manoach Lusma of Sarasota.
Ozkan and her passengers, 65-year-old Mehmet Ozkan, 34-year-old Murat Ozkan, all from Sarasota, and Blick were transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital suffering serious injuries.
Lusma and two of his passengers, 37-year-old Marie Lusma and a six-year-old child, sustained minor injuries and were taken to the same hospital. Another child in Lusma’s car was not injured.
