Woman Killed and Man Injured in Hudson Motorcycle Crash on U.S. 19
Hudson, Florida (December 19, 2017) – A Hudson woman was killed Saturday night in a motorcycle crash that left a man hospitalized with serious injuries on U.S. 19, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The incident occurred at around 8:15 p.m. Saturday, December 18, in the southbound lanes of U.S. 19, just south of New York Avenue.
Troopers said Patrick McKinney, 29, of Hudson, was driving a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he crashed into the back of a Ford F-150 truck, driven by Teresa N. Barthle, 50, of Hudson.
The impact of the crash threw McKinney and his 20-year-old female passenger off the motorcycle.
McKinney’s passenger was killed in the crash.
McKinney was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
Barthle was not injured in the crash.
