Man Killed and 2 Seriously Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision at State Road 60 and Peavine Road
Osceola County, Florida (December 18, 2017) – A man died, and several others were injured in a multi-vehicle collision that took place Sunday afternoon in Osceola County, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
The accident happened at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 17 at the intersection of State Road 60 and Peavine Road.
According to FHP, 43-year-old Iraida Santana was heading west on State Road 60 when his GMC SUV veered to the right shoulder. Santana overcorrected and moved into the eastbound traffic. The SUV struck the front of a Ford pickup truck driven by 57-year-old Hector Concepcion. Two other vehicles were involved in the incident, but the report did not mention how it happened.
Concepcion sustained serious injuries and was transported to Osceola Regional Hospital for treatment. The drivers of the other two vehicles involved suffered minor injuries.
Meanwhile, a 69-year-old male passenger in Santana’s vehicle died in the incident and Santana was transported to Osceola Regional Hospital with serious injuries.
Officers are investigating the collision.
