Immokalee Man Geraldo Gariby Injured in Crash on Carson Road
Immokalee, Florida (January 12, 2018) – One person was critically injured in a crash in Immokalee early Sunday morning, authorities said.
The crash took place at about 1:47 a.m. Sunday, January 7, at Carson Road Extension and Lincoln Boulevard near Arrowhead Reserve.
According to authorities, 51-year-old Immokalee man, Geraldo Gariby was riding his bicycle on the Road when the passenger side mirror of a vehicle hit him.
Gariby who was not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital in Critical Condition.
The vehicle fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Anyone with information concerning the wreck is asked to contact Florida Highway Patrol at 239-938-1800.
No further information about the wreck was provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
