Frederick Grayson Dies in Riverview Motorcycle Accident on U.S. 41 in Hillsborough County
Riverview, Florida (November 6, 2017) – A 55-year-old man lost his life in a motorcycle collision that occurred Saturday morning in Riverview, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
FHP identified the victim as Frederick Grayson of Bradenton.
The accident was reported at 11:10 a.m. Saturday, November 4 on U.S. 41, south of Old U.S. 41A.
According to FHP, Grayson was riding his 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on the highway behind a 2017 Ford F-150 truck towing a boat and being driven by 67-year-old Arthur Chadwell.
The Ford slowed down to make a U-turn. It seems Grayson did not realize the truck slowing down causing him to crash into the boat. He was ejected from the motorcycle onto the roadway.
Grayson, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene. Chadwell and his passenger, 59-year-old Christine Chadwell were not injured in the crash.
The collision is under an active investigation by Florida Highway Patrol.
