Moore Haven Woman Eura Lewis Injured by Driver with Suspend License in Clewiston
Clewiston, Florida (November 6, 2017) – A 76-year-old woman was injured Saturday night when she was struck by a car in Clewiston, according to a police report.
The crash took place at about 9:45 p.m. Saturday, November 4.
As per the report, 76-year-old Eura Lewis from Moore Haven was walking north across Harlem Academy Avenue when she entered into the path of a 201 Kia Sorento driven by Melvin Thomas, 76, Clewiston.
The front of the Kia struck Lewis and the impact knocked her onto the pavement. Police say Lewis walking outside a marked intersection.
Lewis suffered serious injuries in the crash.
Police say Thomas was cited for driving with a suspended license causing serious injury.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
