Esteban Escobar, 32, and Estefania Hoyos, 27, Injured in Crash Involving Motorcycle and Car in Pembroke Pines
Pembroke Pines, Florida (November 22, 2017) – A motorcyclist and his passenger were seriously injured in a crash with a car on Pines Boulevard in Pembroke Pines Tuesday night.
According to Pembroke Pines Police, the two-vehicle crash happened just after 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of 168th Avenue, west of I-75 on Tuesday, November 21.
Police said a 2016 Lincoln car, driven by 71-year-old Eugene Krug, was westbound on Pines Boulevard when Krug made a left turn at 168th Avenue and the vehicle was struck by 2012 BMW motorcycle driven, by 32-year-old Esteban Munoz Escobar, of Weston.
The impact of the crash ejected Escobar and his passenger, 27-year-old Estefania Pulgarin Hoyos, of Northwest Miami-Dade from the motorcycle.
Escobar and Hoyos were transported to Memorial Regional Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police said Krug was not hurt in the crash.
Charges are pending a police investigation that is ongoing.
