Erica Johnson Killed Fatal North Main Street 4-Car Crash at Busch Drive
Jacksonville, Florida (November 14, 2017) – A 44-year-old female driver by the name Erica Johnson died, and four others were injured after they were involved in a multi-vehicle collision Monday night in Jacksonville, the Florida Highway Patrol team reported.
The fatal collision took place at approximately 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 13 on North Main Street at Busch Drive.
Police officers stated that Johnson was driving a Pontiac east on Busch Drive when she was struck by a vehicle driven by 70-year-old Cincinnati man. Johnson’s car then swerved and struck two other vehicles that were stopped at the traffic light.
The man had reportedly run a red light at Main Street before striking Johnson’s vehicle.
Johnson died at the scene while the man and his passenger suffered serious injuries and were rushed to a hospital for treatment. Two other victims were also transported to a hospital with minor wounds.
Authorities affirmed that everyone involved in the accident was wearing a seatbelt.
An investigation into the fatal crash was underway.
