Motorcyclist Eric Scanlon Killed in Scooter Collision at Olive Road and Deborah Drive in Pensacola

Pensacola, Florida (December 12, 2017) – A 36-year-old motorcyclist died in a scooter accident that took place Monday afternoon in Pensacola, a local news source reported.
The victim has been identified as Eric Scanlon of Pensacola.
The collision took place at 5:10 p.m. Monday, December 11 at the intersection of Olive Road and Deborah Drive.
According to the article, Florida Highway Patrol said that Michael Saxton, 32, of Pensacola was driving a 2001 Ford F150 westbound on Olive Road when he made a turn onto Deborah Drive. In so doing, he went directly into the path of Scanlon who was driving a Jonway scooter at the intersection.
Scanlon was rushed to Sacred Heart Hospital for treatment but unfortunately, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
